"It is our responsibility to pause at this time and honour this cycle that we experience as the seasons of the earth. For to mark these times, awakens in us a knowing of the cycles of life and the wisdom that comes with that is what one needs to understand the scheme of things, the patterns and the flow.
This is also one of the ways that we can participate in the healing of the feminine, the Mother, our Earth, Mother Earth, by honouring Her and each other as part of Her, at these times. By stepping out of our homes onto the earth, standing together in a circle, focusing our attention of one thing together, tonight let that be gratitude, then we can make a difference in how things happen."
We gathered, 100 of us, on the lawns of AppleTreeHouse dressed in faery garb in a big circle around our central altar.
It was Litha, Midsummer, the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year and the time we had to be in flow with the energy and set our intentions, make our prayers and wishes and give thanks for what we want to see come to its fullest expression/manifestation in our lives.
We took a moment to forgive and to give thanks for all we had to give thanks for.
The altar was a beautiful collection of flowers from everyone's gardens and we supped on until the mists turned to rain.
Twas a blessing to be together and honour our Great Mother, the Earth, in the expression of her greatest fullness.
